Winter Class Schedule for D65 Families

District 65 Family and Community Engagement,

Evanston Public Library and Oakton Community College present:


Educate. Engage. Empower.

Join us this winter for a series of FREE 6-week classes and workshops open to all District 65 family members!
February 11- March 22


GED Classes

When: Monday and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30am

What: High School equivalency courses

Where: JEH, 1500 McDaniel, Family Welcome Center

Childcare: Yes
Required: Registration and class attendance a minimum of 2 days per week


Knitting Club

When: Tuesday mornings 9:30-10:30am

What: Learn to Knit or work on a knitting project with friends and knitting experts.

Where: JEH, 1500 McDaniel, Family Welcome Center

Childcare: Yes


Workshop Series: Life Skills and Resources

When: Fridays 5:30-6:30pm

What: A series of workshops concerning “Navigating systems”, direction toward career options, health and expert advice. Schedule of speakers will be available the first Friday (2/16).

Where: JEH, 1500 McDaniel, Family Welcome Center

Childcare: Yes


Computer Classes/Computación

When: Saturday 11am-12:30pm, Sunday 12:30pm-1:30pm
What: Basic internet and computer courses covering: PCs, smartphones, tablets, Kindles, and other electronics. This may also include specific courses when needed like learning how to access or navigate D65/other district-related websites and forms for parents.
