D65 and Chicago Therapy Collective provide Support Group for LGBTQ+ Families

District 65, in collaboration with Chicago Therapy Collective, is pleased to offer a support group for LGBTQ+ families in the District. This group will be an opportunity to connect with other families, be supported, build relationships and trust together, and enjoy each other's company. Each meeting will be led by an experienced facilitator from the LGBTQ+ community to ensure that everyone has the chance to be welcomed in, heard, and held in a space of mutual respect. Time will be spent intergenerationally with parents/caregivers and students altogether, as well as in breakout groups for the opportunity to connect more deeply with peers. Opportunities to grow together and strategize around safety, community building, and well-being will abound. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, July 27!

El Distrito 65, en colaboración con el ‘Chicago Therapy Collective’ está feliz de ofrecer un grupo de apoyo para las familias LGBTQ+ en el distrito. Este grupo será una oportunidad para conectarse con otras familias, ser apoyado, desarrollar relaciones y tener confianza juntos, y disfrutar la compañía mutua. Cada reunión será presentada por un facilitador con experiencia de la comunidad LGBTQ+ para asegurar que todos tengan la oportunidad de tener un espacio para ser bienvenido, escuchado y con respeto mutuo. Habrá tiempo para que los padres/cuidadores y estudiantes de diferentes generaciones conversen juntos, también se dividirán en grupos para tener oportunidad de conectarse más profundamente con sus compañeros. Habrá muchas oportunidades para crecer y formar estrategias juntos respecto a la seguridad, desarrollo de la comunidad, y bienestar. ¡Esperamos nos acompañe el miércoles 27 de julio!
