    Ms. Edens
    Ms. Estelle Edens has been Assistant Principal at King Arts since 2009 and plays an integral role on the leadership team. She is a lifelong educator who was born and raised in Evanston, IL. She started her educational career as a kindergartener at Noyes School (now known as the Noyes Cultural Arts Center), and continued her education in private schools here in Evanston. Ms. Edens received her B.A. in teaching from National Lewis University and her M.A. in Educational Administration from Northeastern University. After graduating for National Lewis University, she became Childcare Director of the YWCA in Evanston. Ms. Edens then began teaching in Evanston/Skokie District 65 at Lincoln School as a Kindergarten teacher. She continued her teaching career as a first and then a second grade teacher at Timber Ridge School (now known as Bessie Rhodes). In 2009, she accepted the position of Assistant Principal at King Arts. Ms. Edens is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. North Shore Alumni Chapter. She enjoys serving in this organization because it supports her in giving back to her community.
  • Instructional Leadership Team (ILT)

    King Arts’ Instructional Leadership Team takes the lead on examining instructional practices and structures across the school. The Instructional Leadership Team analyzes curriculum against Common Core State Standards, student achievement data/trends, suggest innovative teaching and learning approaches, and engages staff in exemplary professional development opportunities.
