Earth Month Activities

Celebrating our students participating in 2025 Earth Month plans including:

• School Climate Action Project.
  Ideas and Sign-Up. Encourage reaching out to your School Leaders to explore ways you can partner & engage at your school.
• Classroom Learning.
  Encourage D65 Educators to share the Earth Week google slides with their classrooms daily during Earth Week (April 21-25).
• Celebrating Earth Month across D65.
  Check out our Padlet where staff and students are encouraged to share Earth Month activities happening in our schools.

In 2023, our students participated in a variety of Earth Month activities including:

• Classroom Engagement.
  Encouraged teachers to share these Eco Heroes and Eco Tips (English and Spanish) daily with their classrooms during Earth Week (April 17-21).
• School Climate Action Projects.
  Encouraged each school to do a school-wide climate action project during Earth Month. 10 Schools hosted Climate Action Projects in 2023.
• Community Event: 10 Second Film Festival.
  D65 Climate Action Teams and Climate Action Evanston (formerly CGE) celebrated Earth Week at the 10 Second Film Festival on Friday, April 21 in the One Rotary auditorium. The event featured ten second environmental films created by D65 students and community members.
