Navigate 360 Visitor Management System

Navigate 360 is a visitor management system that helps schools to monitor and track visitors, including parents/caregivers, volunteers, vendors, and other visitors.

Navigate 360 checks visitor information with an integrated, comprehensive database of registries for every state and the District of Columbia as well as Orders of Protection within our student information system.

Approved visitors will be provided with a printed ID badge that must be worn at all times. It is mandatory that the badges be returned when leaving the building.

Navigate 360 was implemented in schools across the district beginning in August 2024. Prior to that, Hall Pass Visitor Management System was used.

District 65 is joining many school systems across the country that have implemented visitor management systems. It’s important that we screen visitors ahead of time to help keep our schools safe and for team members to know and identify who is in our buildings at any given time.

District 65 is committed to ensuring our schools are welcoming and accessible for all members of our community. 

As added safety measures, Hall Pass checks sex offender registries as well as reported Orders of Protection as noted in our student information system. It does not check or report on immigration or citizenship status.

Individuals with an approved reason for visiting the school may provide personal information in lieu of an ID.

Visitors who are dropping an item off at the school or dropping off/picking up their child are not required to use the Navigate 360 system. If you are entering the school or meeting with a member of the administrative team, Navigate 360 is required.

Navigate 360 accepts any state-issued ID, including state-issued driver's licenses and state ID cards. It also accepts valid passports, military IDs, government IDs, and other immigration-related documentation. 

Navigate 360 scans your name, date of birth and a photo for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders, but it does not check criminal or traffic history. It also does NOT check immigration or citizenship status.

In addition, Navigate 360 will determine any student with an Order of Protection based on data within our student information system.

Please note that through this process, no other data from the ID is gathered or recorded, nor is the information shared with any outside agency. 

Navigate 360 only has access to sex offender registries and the district’s student information system.

Yes, it is necessary to check in via the Navigate 360 system every time you visit a school or district facility. The first time you come to the school office, a team member will scan your ID and register you in the system.

After you have registered, you will be able to have your ID quickly scanned in the school office when you visit. If you are entering the building beyond the school office, an ID badge will be printed which must be worn at all times. This will help our staff know you are an approved visitor.

Navigate 360 collects and stores your full name, date of birth, first four digits of your license number and photo when your ID is scanned. Digital copies of visitor IDs are not kept.
