We want to empower our families by connecting them to important information about their child and their learning. District 65 uses a secure, web-based system called PowerSchool which parents/guardians can access through its Parent Portal.
This system contains real-time access to student information provided at the time of registration and also has student schedules, attendance information, student grades and assignments, health information and more!
Student report cards and progress reports are also available via PowerSchool.

What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool is a secure, web-based system that stores student and family information provided during the registration process and is used for scheduling, taking attendance, storing grades and assignments, health information, and more! All District 65 parents/guardians will have real-time access to the parent portal to view information about their child(ren).
How can I log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal?
- Go to https://district65.powerschool.com/public/home.html
Username: your email address
Temporary Password: temp1 - You will be prompted to change the temporary password.
If you receive a message that your parent portal is not set up please email us at registrationinfo@district65.net.

Is the Parent Portal available in Spanish?

Do I need to take any steps to receive important documents through PowerSchool?
Yes, PowerSchool requires that families opt-in to receive document delivery. This includes student report cards and progress reports. Instructions for opting in are available under the 'Guides and Resources' tab.
Is PowerSchool secure?
Student data is securely stored in PowerSchool and is only accessible to the child’s parents or guardian and designated staff via secure login. Further, District 65 and PowerSchool have an extensive agreement which covers data storage and security and the system is in full compliance with all federal and state guidelines related to student data privacy and security. The system has physical, administrative, and technical safety measures to prevent unauthorized access and is regularly assessed for risk. A response plan is in place in the unlikely event of a security breach.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! There is an official PowerSchool Parent Portal app called PowerSchool Mobile, and it’s available on Android and IOS! Through this app, families can check the school’s bulletin board, see their child’s progress and have access to real-time information on grades, assignments, lunch balance, attendance history, and communicate directly to teachers! Be sure to enter our four-digit District Code HGFG when signing up!
