Garrett-Evanston Freedom School

The Garrett-Evanston Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools Program is designed specifically for elementary students who are currently enrolled in the 3rd – 8th grades in Evanston’s District 65. Our Summer Enrichment Camp is a six-week summer program focused on literacy and creative arts. This free program will include small classes; breakfast, lunch, and a snack; field trips; and a lot of fun! The program fosters a love of reading, increased self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning. The Garrett-Evanston Freedom School program will take place June 10 – July 19, 2024.
