Superintendent's Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council
Important note:
The Superintendent's Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council will not meet as a separate group during the 2025-2026 school year. Members were invited to apply for a Structural Deficit Reduction Plan (SDRP) Phase III committee (Facilities, Finance, or Student Programming). Given the significant focus on the SDRP work in the coming year, the district believes this is the most productive, collaborative, and effective structure for this school year.
This council brings together a dedicated group of district parents and caregivers committed to improving education and addressing critical issues currently impacting our schools. Members meet monthly with Superintendent Dr. Angel Turner and her team.
Responsibilities of members of the Superintendent’s Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council include:
- Ensuring the interests, concerns, and perspectives of parents/caregivers both within their own school community and across the district are represented.
-
Representing the diverse interests of families and being prepared to provide input on various topics to help ensure decisions made by district leadership take into account community values and needs
-
Actively facilitate two-way communication within the school community, sharing participation on the council and the important work underway, as well as bringing community input back to the council.
