Superintendent's Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council

This council brings together a dedicated group of district parents and caregivers committed to improving education and addressing critical issues currently impacting our schools. Members meet monthly with Superintendent Dr. Angel Turner and her team.

Responsibilities of members of the Superintendent’s Parent/Caregiver Advisory Council include:

  • Ensuring the interests, concerns, and perspectives of parents/caregivers both within their own school community and across the district are represented.
  • Representing the diverse interests of families and being prepared to provide input on various topics to help ensure decisions made by district leadership take into account community values and needs

  • Actively facilitate two-way communication within the school community, sharing participation on the council and the important work underway, as well as bringing community input back to the council.

Applications for this year's cohort were due October 31, 2024.
