All District 65 students in third through fifth grade, regardless of their residency within Evanston, are eligible to participate at the resident rate ($20-55 per season, depending on the sport).
How do I apply for fee assistance?
Confidential fee assistance to participate in athletics is available for District 65 students based on family size and total family income. Please complete the application on the City of Evanston's fee assistance webpage.
How do I register?
Registration for each participating student must be completed through the City of Evanston: cityofevanston.org/register
How will District 65 and the City of Evanston ensure these athletic opportunities are inclusive of all students?
All students shall be permitted to participate in all athletics programming in a manner that corresponds with their gender identity or in a manner that allows the student to feel the safest, included, and most comfortable.
Who will teams compete against?
Teams will compete against other D65 schools as well as several local private schools that have teams.
Does my student need a sport physical?
While sports physicals are not required to participate, students should be up to date on their school immunizations and physical requirements. Please visit our Health & Wellness Services page for more information.
Do all students get to play/participate?
Yes, all students who register will have the opportunity to play/participate at the elementary level. All of the teams are school-based, so students will be able to play together as a school community. The number of teams per school or the potential to combine teams depends on the number of participants.
