• Welcome to the Special services Department

    The District 65 Special Services Department is dedicated to serving your children by:

    • implementing research-based classroom practices designed to improve academic outcomes and behavioral performance for all students;
    • offering a full continuum of special education and related services in the least restrictive environment to children from age 3 until their completion of the 8th grade and supporting their subsequent high school transition; and
    • partnering with parents to promote the collaboration among the school, home, and community that enables all students to achieve throughout their educational experience and beyond.

  • SEPAC Officers Elected for Council

    Our Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) elected the advisory’s first officers! Congratulations to the five officers elected to lead the council’s efforts in collaborating with the district to facilitate partnerships and collaboration between families and the district in order to promote inclusion and improved outcomes for students with disabilities in our community.

  • Availability of Related Service Logs

    Students with disabilities may receive related services as part of their IEPs. Evanston/Skokie District 65 will maintain related service logs that record the type and number of minutes of the related service(s) administered to such students.
