Welcome to the health services departmentThe Health Services Department of District 65 is located in the Joseph E. Hill Education Center (1500 McDaniel Avenue, Evanston). The Coordinator of Health Services, an Illinois certified school nurse, is responsible for developing and supervising procedures to ensure compliance with the Illinois School Code, and District 65 board policies, relating to student health and health services. The Health Services Department is responsible for developing and supervising health procedures that comply with Illinois School Code and Student Health and Health Services policies.Each school has a Health Office staffed with an individual certified in both CPR/AED and First Aid, and all schools have an AED on-site. Adopted policies and established procedures for accident and emergency response are available in the Health Office. Health Office Personnel (HOP) provide assistance with first aid, administer medication to students, and notify the Health Services Coordinator, parents, and/or school principal in the event of health problems or injuries at school. Health Office Personnel also assist with screenings and other special health needs/concerns.Current emergency contact and health information must be on-file at the school office. Although this information is provided at the time of registration, please remember to update your contact information as well as the information for your child's emergency contact as needed throughout the school year. Any changes can be made via SISK12 (parent portal), by calling the school office, or sending an email to email@example.com.
