PBIS at Rhodes
What is PBIS?
PBIS at Dr. Bessie Rhodes School of Global Studies is a problem-solving system that organizes adults and students in order to create a social-culture in the school that will encourage positive behavior and interactions, while discouraging problem behaviors. This social-culture promotes a safe environment where students achieve academically and build positive relationships with each other and with adults.
PBIS DEFINES student behavioral expectations, TEACHES those expectations, provides a system for REMINDING students of the expected behaviors, REWARDS positive student behavior and RE-TEACHES student behaviors, as necessary.
