MISSION: We will never stop learning and growing.Lincolnwood services students in grades K-5 who live in certain areas of northwest Evanston (attendance area map). Lincolnwood begins its school day at 9:00am. Click for more information on drop-off and pick up procedures, or for the bell schedule as well as childcare and extracurricular programming.
Additionally, Lincolnwood houses STEP for north side Evanston K-5 students. The Structured Teaching Education Program (STEP) is a self-contained, special education program primarily for students who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program is designed to support student success through the development and strengthening of social skills, academic skills, communication skills, independence and learning stamina across all school settings. The program consists of four classes taught and supported by a certified special education teacher and licensed paraprofessionals. In addition, students in the STEP program may receive related services in the areas of Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, English Language Learner, and Adapted Physical Education, as determined by the IEP team.
