Greetings to Dewey families from Ms. Newsome

I hope you and your student(s) have enjoyed your summer so far! I am so excited to officially start as the new Principal of Dewey alongside Assistant Principal Ellison.

I am pleased to announce Ms. Anna Marie Newsome as the new principal of Dewey Elementary! She was unanimously approved by the School Board and we are looking forward to supporting her upcoming transition into the District 65 and Dewey community.

Dewey Principal Search Process

We are initiating our search for a new principal to lead Dewey Elementary School. The process will include stakeholder engagement opportunities in the review of a principal profile and the overall process during family and staff forums. Our goal is to have a new principal identified by mid-July.
