According to the 2018 Illinois State School Report Card, educators who work in District 65 earn $14,588 higher than the average teacher salary in Illinois. In District 65, we recognize the tremendous impact that each of our staff members has on the lives of students and on the smooth operation of our school district. Flexible Health Options - We recognize that our staff and families have a variety of medical and dental needs. District 65 offers comprehensive medical and dental PPO and HMO plans to ensure employees have the necessary coverage when they need it most.
Flexible Spending Account - Employees may enroll in a Flexible Spending Account in order to use pre-tax dollars for medical expenses not covered by health insurance.
Retirement Plans - Our staff members dedicate their lives to the children in our community, they deserve a retirement plan that supports that effort. District 65 makes contributions on behalf of its employees to pensions plans such as the Teacher's Retirement System (TRS) or Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
Retirement Savings - Every person dreams for a happy, secure retirement. District 65 offers resources to help make that dream a reality. Staff members have the opportunity to save for retirement by participating in a 403(b) plan which contributes pre-tax earnings while lowering current taxable income.
Life Insurance - It's not easy to think about the "what-if's" in life. Yet, it helps to know that as a D65 employee, you will receive portable term life insurance at no cost.
Long Term Disability - Employees are provided with a maximum of 60% of earnings for a non-job related disability.
Employee Assistance Program - Employees and family members are eligible for this free counseling support service.
Supplemental Accident Insurance - Employees may enroll in this optional accident and illness insurance.
Legal Counseling Services - Employees may enroll in this optional legal advice service.
