Creation of a Leadership Profile
As the next step in our search for our new superintendent, District 65 is seeking feedback for the creation of a Leadership Profile. This is an important step in the process and we would like to hear from all members of our community.
The Leadership Profile identifies the critical skill sets, characteristics, and expertise the new superintendent should have in order to meet the diverse needs of our community. The profile will be used as part of the candidate screening and interview process. We recognize the unique perspectives within our community and believe it's important that everyone has the opportunity to share their voice as it relates to the vision for District 65 and the qualities of new leadership.
It's important that we identify a leader who can ensure that vision meets reality and that a high-quality educational experience is provided to every child within our community. There are several upcoming opportunities to share your voice as part of this important process.

Online Survey - A brief survey opens on October 12 and closes on October 27 at 11:59 p.m.
The survey is also available in Spanish.
Hard copies of the survey are available at all D65 schools, Evanston Public Library (Main Branch), Levy Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, and at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center. Hard copies must be dropped off at one of these locations by October 26, at 4pm. Participate in a Focus Group
- Wednesday, October 25, from 6-7 p.m., at King Arts Auditorium (2424 Lake Street, Evanston)
- Saturday, November 4, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (Virtual - zoom link)
Spanish interpretation will be provided.
While community members are more than welcome to participate in both the survey and focus group, both opportunities will collect the same information used to generate the Leadership Profile.
