Search Firm Selection

On September 18, 2023, the School Board approved an agreement with the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) to facilitate our superintendent search process. The Board previously issued a Request for Proposals and publicly engaged in presentations with four executive search firms as part of the August 28, 2023 Regular Board Meeting.

With a network of over 7,000 superintendents and school administrators, the Board believes IASB is uniquely qualified to facilitate a process of this magnitude and importance. A timeline is being developed that includes state and national outreach to ensure a diverse, exceptional pool that aligns to the “ideal candidate profile” as developed by our community. Feedback and engagement will be intentional and sought at critical steps in the process.

IASB has conducted hundreds of Illinois superintendent searches over more than 50 years, boasting a high retention rate for those placed in leadership positions.
