Master Facilities Plan
2026 Master Facilities Planning
District 65 contracted with StudioGC in September 2025 to conduct a combined Master Facility/10 Year Health Life Safety report which includes all school sites owned by District 65. The report does not include the Foster Elementary School (under construction), warehouse (non-student space) or Rice Children's Center, which is a leased property.
On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Combined Master Facility Plan (MFP) and 10-Year Health Life Safety (HLS) Report was presented at the Regular Board Meeting. This included detailed information on enrollment projections, building capacities, facility needs, and more.

2021 Master Facilities Planning
As part of our multi-faceted approach to sustainable short and long-term financial planning for our future, the School Board approved the recommendation to hire Cordogan Clark to lead Master Facility Planning on June 14, 2021. This firm was the most qualified bidder and their robust planning experience and commitment to educational equity were ultimately why it was recommended by members of our community-based Student Assignment Project Committee and our leadership team. This firm was tasked with the work of facilities assessment, master planning, feasibility studies, programming, space and capacity planning, ADA and Life/Safety analysis and implementation, and enrollment and demographics analysis. More info including proposals and scope of work can be found in the June 7, 2021, Finance Committee Packet, (meeting video). The Master Facilities Planning outcome will serve as a guide for assessing the need for facility improvements and capital investments to implement them.
