How are the classrooms and facilities organized?
Grades K-1 are located in the “West Wing”, situated in the southwest corner of the school building, which provides an intimate environment for the younger students. The students enter and exit from the West Wing Doors, located on the Greenwood Street side of the school. Reading specialists and our elementary social worker are also located in the West Wing. The first floor contains classrooms for grades K-4, the school office, auditorium, cafeteria, and gymnasium, as well as the fine arts, media arts, music, and drama classrooms. A courtyard containing a garden and displaying student work resides at the center of the building. The second floor houses the library, along with middle school classrooms and science labs. The outside is ringed with a large athletic field and playground.

What should my student do if my child is late to school or is going to be absent?
If a student is tardy, they must first check in at the school office to receive a Tardy Pass prior to reporting to his/her classroom. If a child will be absent, the parent/guardian must call and report the absence to their child's school by providing the name of the child, grade, homeroom teacher, and reason for the absence. To report a student absence, please call (847) 859-8500 and follow the automated reporting instructions. Visitors must check in at the office and receive a visitor badge in exchange for their picture ID.
How do I access the Parent Portal to keep track of my student’s progress?
The Parent Portal is an important digital resource which is designed to keep parents informed about their students’ progress and also to provide an easy way to keep student and parent information accurate and up to date. Through the Portal you have access to your child’s information such as family data, class schedule, attendance and grades. This information is encrypted to ensure confidentiality. You will receive information at the beginning of the school year about how to access the Portal and set up your password.
