What if my child will be absent for a few days due to a family obligation.?
Posted by:Students need to be in school every day. When a family obligation will keep your child out of school, turn in the Planned Absence Approval form to the principal. New state guidelines for determining truancy begin when a student misses more than 5% of the school year. That roughly translates to ten days of unexcused absences.
