    Club Description
    Chess Club The Chute Chess Club offers professional instruction from champion Chicago area FIDE chess master Albert Chow, and meets twice a week. Sessions are on Mondays from 3:45pm - 4:45pm and Wednesdays from 3:45 PM - 4:45pm during October to April when school is in session. The Fall and Spring semester fees are $50 for each semester.     Choir Mr. Przekota (Mr. P) - Rehearsals are on Tuesdays, 3:45pm - 4:45pm. Performances go throughout the year include concerts, contests, Music in the Parks competitions and the YEA Festival. All students are welcome!
    Actions for Healthy Eagles Mrs. Benson, Mrs. Mohrenweiser, Mrs. Fordon, Ms. Braun, and Mr. Walk-Faust. We meet every Wednesday in Room 108, year round. This club is focused on developing a healthy life style. Actions include growing food in school garden, cooking, yoga, and environmental craft projects.
    Stage Crew Mrs. McGuire: Meets select Mondays from 3:45pm - 4:45pm in the Auditorium. Open to all grade levels. Discover that working back stage can be just as exciting as performing on stage! Learn about the different types of stages, stage areas, how to operate lights, sound and the fly system (ropes and chains) plus what to consider when creating set, lighting and sound designs. Work backstage on many occasions including concerts & fine arts performances.
    Student Council Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Egebrecht - Meetings are on Tuesday mornings in the library. Representative and officers are voted in by their classmates. The council consists of an executive committee and two representatives and two alternates from each 1st period class. Student Council will give students opportunities to demonstrate leadership at Chute. Members will organize, promote, and participate in school and community activities to help gain a sense of school and community spirit.
    Minecraft Club Mrs. Kushner: Available from October 15th through mid-April. Students can play Minecraft on computers and learn about other opportunities for creating and coding games. All students welcome! Meets Tuesdays in the Media Arts Lab from 3:45pm - 4:45pm.
    Band Ms. Philbrick - Band is a graded curricular subject with rehearsals and lessons offered before school and/or during the school day. The ensembles perform several times throughout the year and participate in area contests. The program is open to all students. Beginning Band lessons are on Fridays during the day on a rotating schedule.
    Concert Band (6th Grade) Concert Band Lessons are during the school day on Mondays. Rehearsal takes place on Wednesday mornings before school at 7:30am.
    7th and 8th Grade Honors Band 7th and 8th grade- Honor’s Band meets Wednesday and Friday mornings 7:30-8:20. Honor’s Band lessons are on Wednesday and Friday on a rotating basis. Jazz Band will meet during the school day. Ms. Philbrick will inform students of the day and time.
    Orchestra Ms. Berger- Orchestra is a graded curricular subject with rehearsals and lessons offered before school and/or during the school day. It is open to all string players who have played for at least one school year. The ensembles perform several times throughout the year and participate in area contests.
    Intramural Sports Chute Sports - Intramural Sports - Monday through Thursday-Late bus provided. Anyone can play. No cuts. Shared playing time and NO FEES! Students may join any or all of the activities offered. Once they have made a commitment to play, students are placed on a team and are expected to finish the semester. Activities include: soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, lacrosse, dodge ball, fitness club, field hockey, baseball, badminton and track & field.
    Interscholastic Sports Interscholastic Sports -This is a district supported program where Chute students may try out for the Chute team and compete against other middle schools. Parent permission is required for participation and there is a $80 fee (waived for students who receive free and reduced lunch).Fall-Boys’ soccer & Girls’ volleyball Winter-Boys’ & Girls’ Basketball Spring-Girls’ Soccer & Boys’ Basketball *Students will be expected to attend all practices and games and follow all District and school rules
    GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) Club Ms. Mesi: Meets on Thursdays every other week after school from 3:45-4:45 in room 312. This is a safe and inclusive space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning students and their allies. All students deserve a safe and welcoming school environment. Meetings will be on these dates: September 18 October 9 & 23 November 6 & 20 December 4 & 18 January 8 & 29 February 12 & 26 March 12 April 9 & 23 May 7 & 21
    Fit Club Ms. Rossa: Meets at 7:15am on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Fitness Center.
    Black Student Union (BSU) Ms. Ramsey, Ms. Fox, Ms. Colquitt, Ms. Saunders, Mr. Shannon, Ms. Calloway: Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month.
    Latinx Club Ms. Benson, Ms. Flores, Ms. Moore, Mr. Castillo, Ms. Dickinson, Ms. Sanchez, and Ms. Walk-Faust: Meets on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 3:45-4:30 in room 316. The Latinx Club raises awareness of and celebrates Latino cultures and history in order to empower Latinx students and provide them with a support network. Students of any background have the opportunity to come experience Latino pride through music, games, food, field trips, guest speakers, and other activities!
    FUSE Mr. Walk-Faust: Explore choice-based STEM challenges including 3D printing and MaKey MaKey through FUSE. Meeting dates to be determined.
    Concert Orchestra (6th Grade) Concert Orchestra is for students in 6th grade who have at least one year of experience on violin, viola, cello or bass. Sectionals for the Concert Orchestra are on Tuesdays during the day. Full group rehearsal takes place on Wednesdays before school starting at 7:30am.
    Honor's Orchestra (6th, 7th and 8th Grade) Honor's Orchestra is for more advanced string players from 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Sectionals for Honor's Orchestra members are on Thursdays during the day. Full group rehearsal takes place 2 mornings a week-Tuesday and Thursday starting at 7:30am.
    French Club French Club is open to any Chute student and will be Tuesdays from 3:45-5:00.
