Evanston Freedom School

The Evanston Freedom school is a literacy-based full-day summer program offered to students in District 65 who are currently in grades 2-7. Through the Children's Defense Fund Freedom Schools model, we empower youth to excel and believe in their ability to make a difference in themselves, their families, communities, country, and world with hope, education, and action. This free program provides breakfast, lunch, a snack, an interactive reading curriculum in the morning, afternoon activities, books to take home, and field trips on Fridays.
