Recruitment and Registration Fair
Guest Educator Program Returns to District 65
Daily Rates Increase
The Guest Educator program (formerly the substitute teacher program) will once again be managed in-house. The partnership with ESS has ended. The program will be led by Ashley Bias, Manager of Guest Staffing, with support from two guest staffing specialists. Bringing the program in-house created cost savings sufficient to increase the daily rate of pay for Guest Educators from $115/day to $150/day. Guest Paraprofessionals will be paid at the rate of $120/day and Guest Administrative Assistants at $16.50/hour.
In addition to the wage increase, District 65 is committed to creating a welcoming culture and climate for Guest Staff. That effort begins by obtaining feedback from former ESS substitutes who worked in the District. Those individuals are asked to take a few minutes to complete this survey, which will provide important baseline and planning information.
Former ESS staff, in addition to the new applicants, will need to complete an application to work for District 65. The Guest Educator positions are posted on the District website. There will be a combined recruitment fair (for new guest educators) and registration fair (for former ESS/District guest educators) on Saturday, August 13. See the details below:
