Family and Community Engagment (FACE)
-
In District 65, we strive to engage and welcome all families into each of our unique school communities. Our goal is to ensure student achievement and we pursue that in a variety of ways, all rooted in equity, inclusion, mutual respect, honesty, and trust. When we have equitable relationships, our educators and parents/caregivers become a team, allowing us to work together to ensure our students have everything they need to succeed in school year after year.
All members of a child’s family are seen as partners in their education and are a key element of student success. We recognize this looks different for everyone and are committed to meeting families where they are in order to create a meaningful and supportive partnership between home and school.

Our Team
Our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team works to support and advance healthy and effective partnerships between schools, families, and our community to improve student achievement. We seek to improve educational outcomes for all students by establishing open communication, collaboration, and a foundational mutual trust leading to capacity-building outcomes.
We believe that meaningful engagement is a shared responsibility between parents, educators, and community members and focuses on the academic, physical, social, and emotional development of our students. We understand that learning begins long before a child walks into a classroom and we are committed to working in partnership with parents/caregivers and educators to achieve educational equity for all students in District 65.
