    PowerSchool is a secure, web-based system that stores student and family information provided during the registration process and is used for scheduling, taking attendance, storing grades and assignments, health information, and more! All District 65 parents/guardians will have real-time access to the parent portal to view information about their child(ren).

  • How can I log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal?

    Please contact your school secretary to get your student's Access ID and Password and please click on the Resources tab for downloadable instructions on setting up your parent portal access and opting-in for emails.

  • How can I access the system?

    Upon receiving your login information and activating your account, parents/guardians can access the system through the URL listed below. The login page can also be accessed under the ‘Family Resources’ tab of the D65 website. Users can click the following link to access PowerSchool directly: https://district65.powerschool.com/public/home.html

  • Will there be training or opportunities for support?

    Yes! District 65 has a dedicated place on our website to support parents/guardians in using the system. Additionally, we have supported families in using the system through virtual and in-person engagement opportunities as part of our back-to-school programming.

    Yes, PowerSchool requires that families opt-in to receive document delivery. Instructions for opting in will be available on our website (district65.net/powerschool).

  • Is PowerSchool secure?

    Student data is securely stored in PowerSchool and is only accessible to the child’s parent or guardian and designated staff via secure login. Further District 65 and PowerSchool have an extensive agreement which covers data storage and security and the system is in full compliance with all federal and state guidelines related to student data privacy and security. The system has physical, administrative, and technical safety measures to prevent unauthorized access and is regularly assessed for risk. A response plan is in place in the unlikely event of a security breach.

  • Is there a mobile app?

    Yes! There is an official PowerSchool Parent Portal app called PowerSchool Mobile, and it’s available on Android and IOS! Through this app, families can check the school’s bulletin board, see their child’s progress and have access to real-time information on grades, assignments, lunch balance, attendance history, and communicate directly to teachers! Be sure to enter our four-digit District Code HGFG when signing up!
