    WHAT IS PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. It is a system of behavior management and support that helps teachers adopt and organize behavior interventions. PBIS is a system focused on preventing behavior issues for all students and creating an environment for that enhances academic and social outcomes throughout the school.

At Willard, PBIS is supported through four main components: expectations, referrals, hoots, and celebrations. The goal is create a positive environment where children learn to own their behaviors, correct their mistakes, and develop empathy for others.
PBIS is used throughout District 65 and the state of Illinois.  For more information, please visit the  PBIS Illinois Network

    WHAT IS THE WILLARD WAY?
The Willard Way are our school-wide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Ready, and Be Caring. All behavior expectations fall under these three main categories and help to define what appropriate behavior is throughout the school.
