Mr. Weinberg began his teaching career in the South Bronx and Harlem,
NY. He has served as a university level math education instructor, a
literacy consultant, and has worked with community-based organizations
on the development of educational programming.
Prior to joining Lincolnwood Elementary School, Mr. Weinberg was the
Head of Lower School at Catherine Cook School in Chicago. He has
severed as an administrator in the Chicago Public Schools and the
Winnetka Public Schools. He supported elementary teachers as an
Induction Teaching Coach at the University of Chicago’s Urban Teacher
Education Program after teaching 3rd Grade at Chicago’s Francis W.
Parker School.
Mr. Weinberg is pursing a PhD in Educational Leadership from Concordia
University. He holds a master's degree in elementary education from
Bank Street College of Education, NY, and a master's degree in school
administration and supervision from Fordham University, NY. He earned
his bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature at Brandeis
University, MA.
Mr. Weinberg is dedicated to the Evanston community. He looks forward
to supporting meaningful teaching and learning opportunities to the
Lincolnwood community, in all of its diversity. He hopes to support
teachers in creating meaningful learning experiences for all students
so they can contribute in meaningful ways to making their
already-wonderful community an even more caring and just place.
