Any student new to the district who is looking to accelerate in math must either provide a MAP score or take the MAP test. In addition, the student must also take the D65 Qualifying Exam (if entering 6th or 7th grade).

The process differs for students entering 3rd through 5th than for students entering 6th and 7th. Refer to protocol for details.

Acceleration in District 65 refers to taking a pathway that results in taking Algebra a year early (to take Algebra in 7th grade, and to take Geometry in 8th grade).

Acceleration testing for new students will not be offered after this window has closed.

Note: The District 65 Math Placement process does not assess students K-1 for math acceleration.
