The Spanish Translation Volunteer performs the following:
Are you a Spanish speaker with translation experience? Or a professional translator with a couple extra hours a month? Join our team of volunteer Spanish Translators! Our goal is to send all of our PTA communication in both English & Spanish. Can you help with that goal? Time commitment here is relatively low, and it can easily be accomplished around your own schedule. We try to only reach out to each volunteer 1/x a month or so, and generally only for a paragraph or two of translation.

Green Group
The D65 Eco Film Festival performs the following:
We have several ways to help make this event a success in it's second year! From advertising to helping with a storefront display, to day-of logistics, and raffle experiential prizes. This is a fun event in which to meet others from the district passionate about getting kids involved with voicing their opinions about the state of our neighborhood and planet.

Set up labeled cardboard boxes in several locations throughout the school, send information about the clean out and assist in sorting the items collected.

The Green Team Classroom Presenter performs the following:
Join us on a journey to coordinate 15 minute presentations in all classrooms about recycling, composting, waste reduction and sustainability. This is done twice per year (September and January) to reminder students and staff about these topics in the lunchroom, in classrooms and beyond. We develop a presentation as a team and present to each class.

The Kindergarten Playdate Host(s) performs the following:
Have current student at Washington AND an incoming Kindergartner in 2019? Help us host 3-4 summer playdates so parents & kids can get to know one another! Traditionally we've had a team of 2-3 individuals, and we will need at least one Spanish speaking volunteer. Responsibilities will include scheduling & promoting the playdates, as well as attending the playdates, answering questions, and building community!

Member of Washington CARES Committee. Sets up a restaurant every month that will donate a portion of it's revenues to Washington CARES and does marketing in newsletter, facebook and listserve to make sure people know about it.

The Girls Play Sports Chaperones (occasional performs the following:
We are currently looking for chaperone for the FREE Girls Play Sports After School Clinics that we run once a month at Washington for 4th & 5th grade girls. Chaperones are mandatory and responsible for being present at the clinics from 3:35-5pm, and supervising the participants until the ETHS athletes arrive at 3:45 to lead the activities.
Dates for next year are Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3, Jan 7, Feb 4 and March 3. You need to be present OR recruit others to be the chaperone for that day.
