Every Child, Every Day, Whatever it Takes.
To get the bilingual Thunderbird Times, which provides information and resources for the school community, subscribe here. The PTA provides a paper copy to all families who do not have access to email. We post archived issues of the Thunderbird Times on the website. To submit items, send an email Julie van Leer. If you're getting two copies, here's why

PTA Volunteer Mila Goldman compiles a list of all district and community events. These used to go home as paper flyers; now we send a link via Mailchimp. (Subscribe here.) It can also be found on the Washington website. School and district flyers are provided in paper for families who do not have access to email.

Join the community listserve (electronic mailing list) by going to www.groups.google.com/group/WashSchool. The listserve has important community news and events but is not the primary source of school-related information.

Friend us on Facebook. We also post news, photos and all things Washington.
Classroom Communication
This handy staff directory lists emails, phones and a website if your child's teacher has one. Some teachers communicate with parents directly; some set up Google Plus accounts so parents can see daily classroom activities. Phones don't ring in the classroom during the school day, so it's best to call the office if you need to reach your child during the day.
