COVID-19, Remote Learning, and Return Planning
We have created this website to provide easier access to important information related to District 65's continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic including Remote Learning and In-Person return plans. We will continue to update this site as new information becomes available!
As Superintendent Horton has shared in our weekly updates, our priority remains the health and safety of our District 65 community. If health conditions remain stable, we look to welcome our students and staff back in phases. Please understand that plans are subject to change based on health conditions and continued guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois State Board of Education.
Update: On Tuesday, January 5, Superintendent Horton shared an important update regarding the status of in-person learning. Per his update, District 65 is delaying the launch of our hybrid learning model beyond January 19. Please take the time to read and review his full message. Additionally, an advisory group of medical professionals, staff members, and parents will be formed to provide additional guidance on health and reopening and in-person learning metrics. An update from these conversations will be provided to our community on Wednesday, January 20. Further updates will be forthcoming as they are made available.
COVID-19 has created challenges for many and the last few months may have been anything but easy. Let's brighten our days with remote learning stories, photos, tips for other families, and appreciation for educators!
