    SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT TEAM

    The School Improvement Team manages school wide instructional improvement. They develop, oversee and monitor progress with execution of schoolwide improvement plan for increasing student achievement.

     

    The Dewey Elementary School Leadership Team is charged with overseeing the school's ongoing and continuous improvement. This year's team is comprised of staff representing general and special education, specialists, fine arts, and administration.

    This team examines instructional trends and student growth at Dewey in order to support the professional development work happening at the school. The following are goals for the 2021-2022 school year,
     

    In Spring of 2021, 29% and 38% of students who are identified as Black or LatinX respectively, scored below the 25%ile. This year, 70% of our Black and LatinX students who scored below the 50th percentile will meet or exceed their growth targets on the  MAP Reading assessment in the Spring of 2022.


    In Spring of 2021, 46% and 28% of students who are identified as Black or LatinX respectively, scored below the 25%ile. This year, 70% of our Black and LatinX students who scored below the 50th percentile will meet or exceed their growth targets on the MAP Math assessment in the Spring of 2022


    Five of 10 items from the Restorative Practices Implementation Rubric were rated below “Proficient” according to the Dewey School Climate Data Crosswalk in May of 2021. In SY22, at least four of the five items will improve to a rating of “Proficient” or higher.

     
     

    CLIMATE TEAM

    The School Climate Team manages school wide culture and climate for staff, students and families. They develop, oversee and monitor progress with execution of schoolwide strategic plan for improving culture and climate.

     

    MULTI-TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORT TEAM (MTSS)

    The MTSS Committee oversees implementation of tiered supports and monitors progress with execution of supports schoolwide.
