Living The Legacy

Description

Calling all K-8 King Arts students who like to play chess!

The King Arts chess club is a fun group that meets once a week in the evening at King Arts to enjoy playing and learning about chess. It is open to all grades at King Arts and will meet this year on Tuesdays from 6-7pm in the school library on the dates listed below. This year for the first time, we will have two fantastic chess coaches to meet the needs of players of different ages and skill levels. The coaches are Chris Christmas and Albert Chow, both excellent chess players, teachers, and enthusiasts who work with kids throughout District 65.

If your child would like to join, please Nyree Zerega (nyreezerega@sbcglobal.net) know by September 30. The fee will be no more than $120/child. Depending on how many kids sign up, the fee could go down. I'll have the exact amount determined by early October and will let everyone who signed up know. A check can be made out to King Arts PTA and brought to the first chess club meeting on Oct. 18. If you are interested in a scholarship, please let me know.
