The Board of Education approves the official school calendar that identifies start and end date, school holidays and other non-attendance days, parent-teacher conference dates, and school improvement days.
Draft calendars to help families and staff plan for vacations, holidays, and breaks are also developed and approved by the Board. The process to finalize the calendars includes the identification of parent-teacher conference dates and school improvement days. This generally occurs during April of the preceding the school year.
